2nd My Choice Terakoya

This session’s theme was “Emergency Readiness, Without the Panic.”
We welcomed emergency medical technicians from the Owariasahi City Fire Department, who guided families through practical, confidence-building lifesaving basics, helping everyone feel just a little more secure in their everyday lives.

Our instructors for the day were Mr. Otani and Mr. Nishihara.

They shared how grateful they are to work in a community where children are so well-protected.
They said it is thanks to the constant care and attention from parents, caregivers, and the many adults around them. Their words carried a sense of warmth and hope.

To everyone at the Owariasahi City Fire Department, thank you sincerely for taking the time to support us.
We were reminded once again that the safety we enjoy each day is possible because of your presence and dedication.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to MOLZA Co., Ltd. for their generous support.

Mino Washi, born from the blessings of the clear Nagara River, blends traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation.
Their “Bihada Paper” oil-blotting face sheets carry a gentle touch of nature and the quiet beauty of Japan each time they meet the skin.

Did you know that oil-blotting paper originally came from the washi paper used by gold-leaf craftsmen, which naturally absorbed excess oils. Today, that piece of Japanese wisdom continues to bring comfort and elegance to modern beauty routines.

This time, we also received warm encouragement and support from local companies.
It is thanks to these collective efforts that My Choice Terakoya can continue serving as a place of safety, learning, and connection for our community.

Parents, grandparents, and children all joined in once again.
Kids could smile, talk, or even cry, and that was perfectly okay.
We remain committed to creating “Good to Know” moments that help everyday life feel calmer, kinder, and a little brighter for everyone.

See you next time!
